Whether it’s your first visit or a long-overdue return, here are some tips to help you make the most of your time in Thailand!

    • Grab: The local version of Uber. Use it for taxis, food delivery, or to get around easily. Grab Bikes are for the brave ones ;) Always ask for a helmet.

    • Google Maps: Works well for walking and driving directions.

    • XE Currency: For quick currency conversions.

    • Currency: Thai Baht (THB)

    • ATMs are widely available and most accept international cards.

    • Credit cards are accepted in many places, but cash is still king at markets and smaller shops.

    • From the airport: Pre-book with our transportation partner (see “How to Get There”), or use Grab for convenience (might be expensive to Pattaya)

    • Local travel: Grab is the easiest. You can also try tuk-tuks for short distances—negotiate the price before the ride.

    • Grab Motorbike taxis: Common in cities, but only for the brave! Helmets required.

    • February is dry season and usually warm and sunny. Expect daytime temperatures around 28–32°C (82–90°F).

    • Light clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent are recommended. A light sweater for air-conditioned spaces might come in handy.

    • A plug adapter (Thailand uses Type A, B, and C plugs – 220V)

    • General Emergency: 191

    • Tourist Police: 1155 (English-speaking)
